Medicaid CCC Plus Waiver Personal Care in Virginia
One on One Care is a registered Virginia Medicaid provider for Personal Care and Respite Care under the CCC Plus waiver, and for the Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiver. If your loved one qualifies for Medicaid-funded in-home care — or you're partway through the application — we provide the same caregivers and personal attention our private-pay families receive. We've served Medicaid clients across Central and Northern Virginia since 1998.
Whether you've just qualified for the CCC Plus waiver or you're unhappy with your current Medicaid agency, we can walk you through what comes next in plain terms.

How does the Medicaid CCC Plus waiver work?
The CCC Plus (Commonwealth Coordinated Care Plus) waiver is a Virginia Medicaid program that pays for in-home personal care and respite care for people who qualify. Once someone is approved for the waiver, their family chooses a provider agency to deliver the care — and that choice belongs to the family, not the program. We also serve individuals with developmental disabilities under Virginia's DD Waiver.
If you're not sure whether your loved one qualifies, or you're in the middle of an application, call us — we've helped many families work through the process and we'll explain it without jargon.

Can I switch my Medicaid provider agency?
Yes. You have the right to use any provider agency you wish. If you'd like to move your loved one's care to One on One Care, contact your current agency and ask them to send us your transfer documents — then call our office at (540) 288-1300 and we'll handle it from there.
Access to good care shouldn't depend on a family's ability to pay out of pocket. Medicaid-funded services help seniors and individuals with disabilities remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes — with the same screened, background-checked caregivers we send to every client.

Medicaid & Payment Questions
Questions about paying for care
Here are the questions families ask most about Medicaid waivers, long-term care insurance, and private pay. If you don't see yours, call us.
Call (540) 288-1300Yes. One on One Care serves Medicaid CCC Plus waiver clients throughout our Virginia service area, and we've helped many families work through the process. If you're not sure whether your loved one qualifies, or you're partway through an application, call us — we'll explain how it works in plain terms.
In most cases, yes — long-term care insurance policies commonly cover non-medical personal care like ours. We work with LTC insurance clients regularly and can help you understand what your policy requires, such as care notes and invoices for reimbursement. Bring us your policy details and we'll help you sort it out.
Yes. Many of our clients pay privately, and because we're family-owned rather than a franchise, our rates stay competitive. There are no long-term contracts — you pay for the care you schedule. We're happy to give you a straightforward quote over the phone once we understand what your family needs.
No. One on One Care provides non-medical personal care — help with daily living, not clinical treatment. We don't administer medication, give injections, or provide skilled nursing. If your loved one needs medical care at home, we're glad to work alongside a home health or hospice provider.
