One on One Care has provided personal care across Central and Northern Virginia since 1998.
Whether your loved one needs a little help in the morning or more frequent support throughout the day, we tailor every care plan to their needs and routines, and match them with a caregiver who fits.
What does personal care include?
Personal care covers everything in our companion care service — conversation, meals, errands, and light housekeeping — plus direct physical assistance:

Who is personal care for?
Personal care needs can be deeply personal — and for many families, providing that care alone becomes physically and emotionally overwhelming. Help with bathing, dressing, mobility, and other daily routines supports safety and comfort while helping seniors maintain dignity and independence at home. It's a good fit when a loved one is recovering from a hospital stay, living with limited mobility, or simply finding everyday routines harder to manage alone.
One on One Care is licensed by the Virginia Department of Health, and every caregiver is screened through interviews, background and reference checks, and experience verification before entering a client's home.

No. One on One Care provides non-medical personal care — help with daily living, not clinical treatment. We don't administer medication, give injections, or provide skilled nursing. If your loved one needs medical care at home, we're glad to work alongside a home health or hospice provider.
Yes. We generally ask for a minimum of 4 hours per visit and 3 visits per week. These guidelines help us provide dependable staffing and keep the same caregivers with the same clients. If your circumstances are different, call us — we're always willing to talk it through.
Yes. Many of our clients pay privately, and because we're family-owned rather than a franchise, our rates stay competitive. There are no long-term contracts — you pay for the care you schedule. We're happy to give you a straightforward quote over the phone once we understand what your family needs.
